MasterChef Latino is a culinary competition produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog, creators of MasterChef, the prestigious international brand that has become the number one cooking program in the world. What makes this version for Hispanic television in the United States so special, is that it is the only one where the great diversity of cultures, flavors and Latin American flavors come together and are masterfully represented.

This season of MasterChef Latino promises more intense competition, with more challenging tests, more competitive contenders and a battle between judges from start to finish. Only one of 15 lucky chosen will win the $100,000 prize and take home the coveted title of MasterChef Latino.


HOST

Gaby Espino is an actress, TV host, entrepreneur and one of the Latina personalities with more engagement and presence in the social media landscape. She has hosted the “Billboard Latin Music Awards,” in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019, and “Premios Tu Mundo” from 2011 to 2014. She recently starred in Telemundo’s international series “Jugar con Fuego.” Espino also participated in other Telemundo Series, such as “Señora Acero,” “Santa Diabla”, among many other productions.


JUDGES

Benito Molina:  Born in Mexico City, Benito has worked in renowned kitchens in Europe, Latin America and the United States, in addition to being awarded prestigious culinary awards and recognitions that place him among the best chefs in Mexico. Currently, he owns Manzanilla, the first Mexican restaurant in Baja California that has a menu where everything is cooked to firewood.

Claudia Sandoval: rose to fame by winning the sixth season of MasterChef, becoming the first Latina to achieve such a feat. With roots in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Claudia was born and raised in San Diego, California. After winning the MasterChef title, she started a successful culinary consulting and catering company under the name of "Claudia's Kitchen", in addition to working with important commercial brands and publishing the bestseller "Claudia's Kitchen: A Taste of Mexico" in 2016.

Chef Ennio Carota is one of the most beloved and renowned exponents of Italian cuisine. His talent as a chef has led him to earn a Michelin star and his charisma and culinary knowledge have made him an entrepreneur and television host. Considered a perfectionist and tireless seeker of quality and simplicity, Ennio has been part of MasterChef and MasterChef Junior in Chile. After working at famous restaurants in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, he opened an Italian restaurant in Santiago, Chile, where he lives today.

Chef James, born in Venezuela of Syrian descent, expresses the best of his two cultures in his recipes. James Tahhan, better known as "Chef James", is one of the rising stars of Hispanic television in the United States as part of "Un Nuevo Día," Telemundo’s popular morning show, which features Chef James’ delicious recipes in the show’s cooking segment.
