TELEMUNDO DEPORTES HONORS CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY WITH TWO MEMORABLE TITLE MATCHES IN THIS WEEKEND’S ENCORE PREMIER LEAGUE PROGRAMMING

Miami, FL – May 14, 2020 – Telemundo Deportes wraps up its “Best of the Best” encores of Premier League this weekend, when Championship Sunday would have been scheduled to take place. The coverage relives two of the most memorable title-clinching matches from previous seasons.

On Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT on Universo, Telemundo Deportes relives Leicester City vs. Everton matchup from May 7, 2016, a historic end to the season that’s considered one of the greatest sporting stories of all time.

Sunday’s broadcast kicks off at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT on Telemundo with the 2018-2019 season championship match Brighton vs. Manchester City played last May 12, 2019 at Amex Stadium when ManCity unleashed their best soccer seeking to retain their Premier League title and become the first team to retain the crown since Manchester United 11 years ago.

The weekend encore programming includes pre-game coverage with La Liga Premier Extra for both matches as well as 3er Tiempo live special following Telemundo’s encore game on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET/PT also re-airing on Monday at 9:00 a.m. Hosted by Andres Cantor, Manuel Sol, Miguel Gurwitz and Copan Alvarez, the special 3er Tiempo will cover the latest news around PL’s potential return to action in June and other relevant topics related to the current situation in the world of sports.
