The matchup ranked as the #1 Sports Event across broadcast and cable networks, out delivering the US Open Tennis on ESPN and World Cup qualifiers on BeIN Sports that aired on the same time period, by more than triple digits. It also outperformed Univision’s broadcast of Mexico vs. Panama on September 1 by +6%, among adults 18-49. Locally, the matchup ranked as the most watched show in the time period in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco, among adults 18-49, regardless of language.
The Honduras vs. USA match that aired on Universo on September 5 at 5:30 pm ET delivered 275,000 total viewers and 142,000 adults 18-49.
Across TelemundoDeportes.com and the Deportes En Vivo App, Costa Rica vs. Mexico generated over 43,000 livestreams. On social media, Telemundo Deportes was the #1 sports event in terms of social engagement among all Hispanic networks and all broadcast networks, on Tuesday, September 5.
