Telemundo Deportes Debuts a Special Series of Interviews Featuring the League’s Top Hispanic Coaches

Miami – October 2, 2019 – Telemundo Deportes’ Premier League action continues this weekend with undefeated Liverpool hosting Leicester City on Saturday, Oct. 5 live on Universo and Telemundo Deportes app at 9:55 a.m. ET. Liverpool continue at the top of the table following last weekend’s win against Sheffield United while 3rd-place Leicester City look to close the gap with Manchester City sitting second.

Premier League weekend’s coverage kicks off with Tottenham visiting Brighton live on Universo and the Telemundo Deportes app at 7:25 a.m. ET. Pochettino’s Tottenham return with striker Harry Kane looking to for another win following their 2-1 victory against Southampton last weekend.

Live coverage on Saturday concludes at 12:25 p.m. ET with West Ham vs. Crystal Palace on the Telemundo Deportes App. 5th-place West Ham remain unbeaten since the first match of the Premier League season and look to maintain their streak against Crystal Palace at London Stadium.

Starting this weekend, Sunday’s Premier League on Telemundo will expand its pre-game coverage with an additional 30-minute preview starting at 10:30 a.m. ET. The new format provides viewers with an earlier start of Premier League content every Sunday, featuring Telemundo Deportes' talent who bring the latest news and information with their fun, unique style, in anticipation of the match of the day. The pre-game will also present news around the press conferences, preparations from players and ambience in the stadium.

Telemundo’s Sunday broadcast will feature Manchester United facing Newcastle at 11:30 a.m. ET. Manchester United come off a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, while Newcastle look for their second win of the Premier League season.

All matches on Universo and Telemundo will be preceded by the 30-minute pre-game show La Liga Premier Extra. Pre and post coverage include highlights, recaps and the top stories around the Hispanic stars.

Beginning this weekend, Telemundo Deportes also debuts a new special series of interviews featuring Premier League’s top Hispanic coaches. The interviews showcase the stories behind the men who drive the teams and its players, unveiling their challenges, strategies, secrets and their characters. The special interviews will be featured across Telemundo Deportes’ pre-game coverage and on digital platforms. This weekend’s interviews include Manuel Pellegrini of West Ham United, Quique Sanchez Flores of Watford and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.

Telemundo Deportes’ Emmy-nominated sports analysis show – and the only Spanish-language show dedicated exclusively to capturing all the action of the Premier League –La Liga Premier: Tercer Tiempo wraps up Sunday’s coverage at 1:30 p.m. ET.
