Miami – July 26, 2019The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced its nominations for the 40th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards, including six nominations for Noticias Telemundo in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Newscast or Newsmagazine in Spanish: “Noticias Telemundo” and “Noticias Telemundo Mediodía.”
  • Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in Spanish: “Emergencia en la frontera,” “What is Happening with the Children?” and “The Caravan Breaks into Mexico.”
  • Outstanding Business, Consumer or Economic Report: Hidden Cost: Our Laws Have Not Kept Up With the Climate” (a coproduction by Noticias Telemundo and The Weather Channel).

The winners of the 40th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards will be announced at a ceremony at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Tuesday, September 24, before an audience of more than a thousand television reporters, documentary filmmakers and media executives.
