The Multi-Platform Campaign Will Kick Off in March During Women’s History Month to deliver on Telemundo’s commitment to women
MIAMI – March 4, 2019 –NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises today announced the launch of a new company-wide initiative dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in all aspects of life and championing their advancement at every level of business. The multi-platform campaign, titled “Mujeres Imparables” (Unstoppable Women), will kick off during March and will serve as a forum to bring Telemundo employees, consumers and stakeholders together to enhance the company’s culture of diversity and inclusion.
“Unstoppable Women will be an overarching campaign for Telemundo to highlight women’s achievements during this very special month and every month moving forward,” said Mónica Gil, EVP & Chief Marketing Officer, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. “From lead characters, programming themes and sports events, to leadership development, insights and social impact initiatives, the message will be amplified across all divisions of our company.”
“Unstoppable Women” will take shape in a variety of ways, including public service announcements, the launch of on-air and digital campaigns with inspiring messages, and a Speaker Series at Telemundo Center featuring a conversation with the Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o. The campaign will also feature employee panel discussions about inclusion in the workplace and present an executive leadership training program in partnership with the University of Miami School of Business.
Beyond Women’s History Month, Telemundo will celebrate the Unstoppable Women of Sports and launch an initiative that will provide support for female soccer coaches and players. Throughout the summer, “Unstoppable Women” will be bolstered by the FIFA Women’s World Cup and will bring the stories of female players, coach profiles and activations.
With plans going into 2020, Telemundo’s “Unstoppable Women” campaign will advance into a long-term commitment concentrating on civic engagement and the census as well as a program focused on the power of storytelling by women that will support female writers and directors.
