PHILADELPHIA, PA – (October 22, 2018) – NBC10 / WCAU and Telemundo62 / WWSI today made local broadcast history by delivering their local newscasts from their new 80,000 square-foot broadcast center located within the new Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, PA. Nearly 200 employees work from the stations’ new facility in Center City. The stations began moving out of their Bala Cynwyd facility in late September. At 4 AM today, NBC10’s Tracy Davidson and Lucy Bustamante delivered the day’s news from the new WCAU news studio. Spanish-speaking viewers in the area saw Telemundo62’s Syrmarie Villalobos and Alondra Anaya anchor the station’s 6 AM newscast from WWSI’s new modern news set.

Spanning three floors, NBC10 and Telemundo62’s new modern news facility includes the following key features:
NBC10 and Telemundo62 worked with local businesses to design and build their modern news center. The companies include LF Driscoll (construction), Liberty Property Trust (construction project management/operations), Gensler (architects/design), and Diversified (technical design and integration).
The debut of NBC10 and Telemundo62’s new facility follows the unveiling of seven other new, state-of-the-art local television stations housed by NBC and Telemundo owned stations in Los Angeles (KNBC/KVEA) Dallas-Fort Worth (KXAS/KXTX), West Hartford (WVIT/WRDM), Denver (KDEN), San Antonio (KVDA), McAllen (KTLM) and San Diego (KNSD, KUAN), with the NBCUniversal Boston Media Center set to open in late 2019.
