Digital: For the Week, “Tonight” Delivers More Than 1 Million YouTube Views Each With 10 Separate Videos

NEW YORK — June 18, 2019 — “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has delivered a

0.40 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall for the late-night ratings week of June 10-14, to outrate CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in all key demographics – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 – and outdeliver ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in total viewers despite two nights of NBA boosts for “Kimmel.”

Note that “Kimmel” was delayed on Monday and Thursday by primetime NBA Finals overruns and its Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday editions were encores.

According to “live plus same day” results from Nielsen Media Research, “Tonight's” 0.40 rating for the week in adults 18-49 tops “Colbert’s” 0.31 by a margin of +0.09 of a rating point or +29%. The +0.09 advantage is “Tonight’s” biggest over a week of “Late Show” originals since Fallon won by +0.34 the week of Nov. 19-23, 2018. Excluding weeks of high-rated primetime NFL overruns, it was “Tonight’s” biggest advantage over “Colbert” since Sept. 17-21, 2018 (+0.15).

At 12:35 a.m. ET “Late Night With Seth Meyers” finished #1 in the timeslot in all key demos versus CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” Season to date, Meyers leads both “Late Late Show” and ABC’s “Nightline” in “most current” averages in every key ratings category.

In the digital realm, “Tonight” last week generated more than 1 million YouTube views each with 10 separate videos, led by “Selena Gomez and Jimmy Cry While Eating Spicy Wings (Hot Ones),” with nearly 6.5 million. That June 11 episode of “Tonight” featuring Selena Gomez was the #1 most-social late-night episode of the week, generating over 352,400 total interactions.
