Locally, Exatlon’s Finale Ranked as the #1 Spanish-language Program in the Top Hispanic Markets Los Angeles, Miami and New York

MIAMI – November 26, 2019 – The much-anticipated finale of the third season of Exatlon Estados Unidos solidified Telemundo as the #1 Spanish-language network during Sunday primetime, among adults 18-49, 18-34 and total viewers, according to Nielsen. Propelled by the final episode, the network averaged 764,000 adults 18-49, 360,000 adults 18-34, and 1.9 million in total viewers Sunday night, outperforming Univision by +19%, +42% and +29%, respectively. During the finale, Telemundo’s hit competition also ranked over Univision’s La Reina de la Cancion finale by +16% among total viewers (1.8 million vs. 1.6 million), +4% among adults 18-49 (750,000 vs. 718,000) and +25% among adults 18-34 (355,000 vs. 284,000). Additionally, Exatlon’s finale ranked as the #1 most social Spanish-language broadcast reality program, reaching 233,000 cross-platform actions, according to Shareablee.

Locally, the season finale ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program in the top Hispanic markets including Los Angeles, New York and Miami.

In the current broadcast season, Exatlon averaged 1.4 million total viewers, 552,000 adults 18-49, and 224,000 adults 18-34, ranking as the #1 reality Monday through Friday on Spanish-language television. On Sundays of eliminations, Exatlon also dominated this season with an average of 1.3 million total viewers, 528,000 adults 18-49 and 217,000 adults 18-34.

Exatlon, one of the most popular reality shows on Spanish-language television, splits contestants into two teams to compete in a series of physical and mental challenges over the course of several weeks. This season, Mexican pro soccer player, Alberto “El Venado” Medina, surpassed all other contestants, winning the title of Exatlon champion and taking home the grand prize of US$200,000.
