Now, the last candidacy of this year, they also stole it.”
  • About his return to Bolivia: “A lot will depend on the timing. I just want to tell you that per high-level information the U.S. Department of State does not want me to return as well as the right-wing Bolivian coup. I am asking for a guarantee to come back. I have all the right to return to Bolivia.”
  • About his days in Mexico post-presidency: “This morning at six in the morning I was in the gym thanks to the army, the armed forces of Mexico...Then, breakfast, communicating, phone calls, answering messages, meeting with Álvaro, our Vice President. After my meetings, some invitations, like this interview. That's my agenda of the day.”
