Live From Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Colombian Bantamweight Champion Yeison Vargas takes on WBO Latino Bantamweight Champion Ricardo Espinoza of Mexico in a 10-rounder for the WBO-NABO Championship

Miami – November 28, 2018 – “Boxeo Telemundo Ford,” the #1 Spanish-language boxing program in the U.S., returns to South Florida after almost ten years with a special event at the iconic Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. The event will be headlined by #2 ranked WBO Bantamweight Latin Champion, Ricardo “Hindu” Espinoza of Tijuana, Mexico, who will defend his title in a ten-round battle against Colombia’s latest undefeated prospect Yeison Vargas for the WBO-NABO Championship. The bout will air live on Telemundo this Friday, November 30 at 11:30 PM ET/10:30 CT.

Telemundo Deportes’ commentators René Giraldo and Edgar López will call the action onsite from the Hard Rock, alongside three-time world champion Abner Mares.

“Boxeo Telemundo” will also be available online via the Telemundo Deportes app with additional news and content on and Telemundo Deportes’ social media, including access to the weigh-in, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and video highlights.

Espinoza (21-2-18 KO’s) is coming off an impressive second round stoppage of then #3 WBO ranked bantamweight Daniel “El Alacran” Lozano during Boxeo Telemundo summer series while Vargas (17-0-12 KO’s) returns for his second bout of 2018 after defending his Colombian bantamweight title in a win against Mauricio “Champeta” Fuentes back in April.

In the 10-round welterweight co-main event, Derrieck Cuevas (18-0-1, 14 KO’s) of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, will face well-known Miami via Barranquilla, Colombia, veteran Breidis “Khanqueror” Prescott (31-14, 22 KO’s).

The season will conclude on Friday, December 7 live from Mexico City where Antonio Toño Moran confronts Edson “Buba” Ramirez for the vacant WBO Lightweight title. “Boxeo Telemundo Ford,” will return again in February 2019 to celebrate its 30th anniversary and continue its storied tradition of being the top boxing destination and longest-running boxing program in Spanish language media.
