As Executive Vice President of Sales, Mike Chico is responsible for leading all sales and commercial efforts for the Telemundo Station Group, a division of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, which includes 30 Telemundo stations in the United States and in Puerto Rico and the national Spanish-language multicast network, TeleXitos. He also oversees sales efforts for the Telemundo affiliate stations.
Chico has over 20 years of experience in advertising sales, focused on broadcast television, national cable, film and out-of-home. Prior to joining the Telemundo Station Group, he was the Senior Vice President of National Sales for Clear Channel Outdoor. Before that, Chico was Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Research at Screenvision Cinema Networks and Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales for Madison Square Garden from 2006 to 2008. In this role, he oversaw sales for the MSG Network, Fox Sports Network, the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers.
From 2002 to 2006, Chico was part of the NBCUniversal Owned Stations division of NBCUniversal, serving first as Senior Vice President of Olympic Sales and Marketing Sales, before becoming Senior Vice President of East Coast Sales. Earlier in his career, Chico held various positions at ABC Television Sales, ESPN, Blair Television and the A.C. Nielsen Company.
Chico holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.
