Series Has Raised More Than $15 Million for Charity With Hopes That Arnold Schwarzenegger-Led Season Will Be Biggest Yet
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Nov. 21, 2016 — Sixteen celebrities will compete for their favorite charities on “The New Celebrity Apprentice” as it shifts to Los Angeles where twice-elected California governor, successful businessman and international movie superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger reigns over the boardroom.
The highly anticipated season launches Monday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
“I am incredibly proud that ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ has donated over $15 million to different charities during its seven seasons on NBC,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “Philanthropy has been an important part of the show and we look forward to continuing the tradition.”
Celebrity contestants will compete in challenging business-driven tasks more focused than ever on technology and innovation, testing their ability to work together as a team while raising money and awareness for their favorite causes. Each episode will conclude with a compelling boardroom showdown when Schwarzenegger evaluates the performances of all of the players before deciding which team wins the challenge and who will be sent home. The season will conclude with an exciting two-part finale Feb 6 and Feb. 13.
Over the course of the series, “The Celebrity Apprentice” has raised more than $15 million for charity. This season’s winner will gain the coveted title of the Celebrity Apprentice and a $250,000 check to give to their designated charity.

The Humane Society of the United States’ groundbreaking “Pets for Life” program brings free veterinary care and pet supplies to underserved neighborhoods, addressing the critical need for basic care and services for pets and the families who love them.
The True Colors Fund was co-founded by Cyndi Lauper to prevent and end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth, creating a world in which young people can be their true selves.
The Semper Fi Fund, one of the highest-rated veteran non-profits, provides urgently needed resources and lifetime support for wounded, critically ill and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
