Michelle Beadle Interview with Ryan Lochte

LOCHTE: “I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing. I mean, I love training. It’s fun for me because after a really hard work out, you feel good about yourself. So I’m definitely going to keep doing that. I don’t plan on getting any slower so I’ve got to find different ways to improve my training for the next four years.”

BEADLE: “We’ve got to get out of the pool for a second because your mom has been talking about your social life. What is going on that your mom and everyone talk about who you’re dating, what you’re doing? Is this bizarre to you? Or do you like this?”

LOCHTE: “I don’t mind it. I think my mom, kind of, got it mixed up. I think what she meant by the whole comment that she made was I don’t have a girlfriend. Since training takes so much time, I’m always in the pool, that I don’t really have time to settle down for a relationship. So when she said ‘one night stands,’ she meant that I go on dates. I don’t think she meant anything bad about that.”

BEADLE: “Mama Lochte.”

LOCHTE: “Yep, she’s new to the whole media world so she had no idea.”

BEADLE: “Well, that was a good way to jump right in, I’m not going to lie. Ryan Lochte, birthday boy, single, and done with the Olympics. Five medals.”
