NEW YORK – June 25, 2012 – NBC Sports Group will hold a conference call on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET with Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Sports Group, Gary Zenkel, President, NBC Olympics, Jim Bell, Executive Producer, NBC Olympics and Bob Costas, host of NBC’s primetime coverage from London.Dial 913-312-0653 to participate
NBCUniversal will provide 5,535 hours of coverage for the 2012 London Olympics across NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, Telemundo, NBCOlympics.com, two specialty channels, and the first-ever 3D platform, an unprecedented level that surpasses the coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics by nearly 2,000 hours.
NBCUniversal’s 2012 London Olympic coverage begins on MSNBC on Wednesday, July 25 – two days before the Opening Ceremony -- when Great Britain faces New Zealand in women’s soccer, the first official competition of the Games, live from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT.
The Opening Ceremony is Friday, July 27, 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
**NBC Sports Group executives will be traveling to London in the coming days in preparation for the London Games. Availability for interviews leading up to the Olympics will be limited.
