Red Faction: Origins

Part of a first-of-its-kind trans-media deal, the THQ Inc., and Syfy original movie "Red Faction: Origins," is based on the highly successful "Red Faction" video game franchise. It will premiere on Syfy Saturday, June 4, less than a week after the "Red Faction Armageddon" video game is released.
THQ is a leading worldwide developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software. THQ’s core gaming product portfolio includes action, shooter, strategy, racing and fighting games.
The movie’s stars include Brian J. Smith, Danielle Nicolet, Gareth David-Lloyd, Tamzin Merchant, Devon Graye, Gordon Kennedy, Tamer Hassan, Kate Vernon and Robert Patrick.
"Red Faction: Origins" follows the children of rebel hero Alec Mason, set during a period between the "Red Faction Guerrilla" and "Red Faction Armageddon" video games.
The movie is produced by Universal Cable Productions & UFO Films, based on a highly successful "Red Faction" video game franchise from THQ. The executive producer is Andrew Kreisberg.
