NEW YORK – June 26, 2012 – Kevin McHale of "Glee" will join Oxygen’s “The Glee Project” as the guest mentor for episode five airing Tuesday, July 3 at 10 PM ET/PT. The episode will focus on the theme of “Adaptability” where the contenders have to acclimate to the many challenges placed in their path. As previously announced, Naya Rivera (“Glee’s” Santana Lopez) will guest mentor “The Glee Project” tonight, Tuesday June 26 at 10 PM ET/PT as the contenders explore the theme of “Sexuality.”
Breaking the mold, McHale has played the talented Artie Abrams on “Glee” for all three of its seasons. His character, a handicap male, serves as an inspiration for aspiring artists alike. As guest mentor on “The Glee Project,” McHale will oversee “Adaptability” week, speaking to his experiences as Artie on the show and emphasizing the need to acclimate to change when on set and in the recording studio.
Previously announced “Glee” star Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) will follow McHale as guest mentor for episode six, “Fearlessness,” airing Tuesday, July 10 at 10 PM ET/PT. Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) will return to “The Glee Project” for “Romanticality” week on Tuesday, July 31 and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) will come to set as the summer comes to an end for “GLEE-ality” week on Tuesday, August 14.
