As director of the opening ceremony for the London Olympic Games, British filmmaker and Oscar-winner Danny Boyle faces his largest and riskiest project to date. Studies show that African-Americans drown at three times the rate of whites. For generations, black parents who themselves don't know how to swim have held back from encouraging their own kids to swim. Now though, they have a new role model: Olympic swimmer Cullen Jones is making it his mission to get more African-Americans to take swimming lessons and get involved with the sport. Before the United States entered World War 2, England was in dire peril against the fearsome Nazi onslaught. In connection with a special Olympic documentary, THEIR FINEST HOUR, Tom Brokaw tells the story of an American pilot called to act so that England might live. Billy Fiske, Olympic champion and Olympic flag-bearer, was shot down in the Battle of Britain, and became the first American combat death in World War 2.
