NEW YORK – July 19, 2012 – NBC News’ “Today” delivered 4.213 million total viewers for the week of July 9. In the key demo, A25-54, "Today" continues as the number one morning program for 898 straight weeks. Season-to-date, “Today” leads GMA in total viewers and in the key demo, A25-54. “Today” has been the number one morning program for more than 16 years, and for 860 out of 866 weeks.
Below are the highlights for last week:

• TODAY averaged 4.213 million total viewers, leading CBS This Morning by +89% (+1,978,000).
• TODAY has been the number one morning program for more than 16 years, and for 860 out of 866 weeks.
• In rating A25-54, TODAY delivered 1.711 million viewers topping GMA’s 1.696 million by 15,000 and topping CBS This Morning’s 874,000 viewers by 837,000.
• TODAY has now won 898 straight weeks in rating A25-54.
• In rating A18-49, TODAY tied GMA for #1 and outperformed CBS This Morning by +100% (+5 tenths).
• TODAY has now won 927 consecutive weeks in rating A18-49.
• Week-to-week, TODAY posted gains in rating M/A18-49 (+17%/+11%) and rating M25-54 (+11%) and widened its advantage over GMA in rating M18-49.
• TODAY increased its gap over GMA in rating M25-54 versus 2Q’12 levels.
• Season-to-date, TODAY outperforms GMA and CBS in total viewers and A25-54.
TODAY II (9 a.m. hour) & III (10 a.m. hour) Highlights:
• TODAY II delivered 3.005 million total viewers and a 0.9 A25-54 rating.
• TODAY II topped CBS This Morning in homes (+35%), total viewers (+34% or +770,000), rating W/A18-49 (+60%/+20%) and rating W/A25-54 (+50%/+29%) while tying in rating M18-49.
• TODAY II beat The View in rating M18-49 (+100%) and rating M/A25-54 (+67%/+29%) while tying in rating A18-49 and rating W25-54.
• TODAY II outperformed The Talk in homes (+44%), total viewers (+46%, or +941,000), rating W/M/A18-49 (+33%/+100%/+50%), rating W/M/A25-54 (+33%/+67%/+50%).
• TODAY II beat The Chew in homes (+44%), total viewers (+42%, or +884,000), rating W/M/A18-49 (+33%/+100%/+50%), and rating W/M/A25-54 (+33%/+67%/+50%).
• TODAY II topped Good Afternoon America in homes (+64%), total viewers (+67%, or +1,203,000), rating W/M/A18-49 (+60%/+100%/+100%), and rating W/M/A25-54 (+50%/+150%/+80%).
• Season-to-date, TODAY II leads The View in rating M18-49 (+67%), and rating M/A25-54 (+50%/+11%).
• TODAY III averaged 1.919 million total viewers and a 0.6 A25-54 rating.
• TODAY III beat CBS This Morning in rating W18-49 (+20%) and tied in rating W25-54.
• TODAY III topped The View in rating M18-54 (+50%) and tied in rating M25-54.
• TODAY III outperformed The Talk in rating M18-49 (+50%) and tied in rating W/A18-49 and rating M/A25-54.
• TODAY III led The Chew in rating M18-49 (+50%) and tied in rating W/A18-49 and rating M/A25-54.
• TODAY III beat Good Afternoon America in homes (+7%), total viewers (+6%, or +117,000), rating W/M/A18-49 (+20%/+50%/+33%), and rating M/A25-54 (+50%/+20%) while tying in rating W25-54.
• Season-to-date, TODAY III leads The Talk in homes (+6%), rating W/M18-49 (+14%/+50%), and rating M/A25-54 (+33%/+17%) while tying in rating A18-49 and rating W25-54.
