'TONIGHT' TOPS ABC'S 'KIMMEL' BY THE BIGGEST MARGINS IN THEIR FOUR HEAD-TO-HEAD WEEKS
'LATE NIGHT' LEADS 'NIGHTLINE' AND 'LATE LATE SHOW' IN ALL KEY CATEGORIES; BEATS'NIGHTLINE' BY THE BIGGEST MARGINS IN THEIR FOUR HEAD-TO-HEAD WEEKS
'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY' HITS A 10-WEEK HIGH IN 18-49 AND A 12-WEEK HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – February 7, 2013 – NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” has finished #1 in viewers 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers, versus its ABC and CBS time-slot competition for the week of January 28-February 1, with Jay generating his biggest 18-49 and total-viewer margins over ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in the four weeks since "Kimmel" shifted to the 11:35 p.m. ET hour.
For the week, “Tonight” topped “Kimmel” in viewers 18-49 by a 19 percent margin (with 1.081 million viewers vs. 911,000 for “Kimmel”), and in total viewers by a 47 percent margin (3.745 million vs. 2.544 million).
At 12:35 a.m. ET last week, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" ranked #1 versus the ABC and CBS competition in 18-49 viewers, total viewers and all other key ratings categories. “Late Night” beat ABC's "Nightline" for the week in their head-to-head half-hour by Jimmy's biggest margins in the four weeks since "Nightline" shifted to the half-hour -- a 42 percent advantage in 18-49 (with 726,000 viewers vs. “Nightline’s” 512,000 in the 12:30-1 a.m. ET half-hour) and a 29 percent margin in total viewers (2.001 million for the half-hour vs. 1.548 million).
"Tonight" and "Late Night" delivered their top results in 18-49 and total viewers in the four weeks since New Year's week, December 31, 2012-January 4, 2013.
At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" generated its biggest 18-49 audience (393,000) in 10 weeks (since the week of November 19-23, 2012) and its biggest overall audience (972,000) in 12 weeks (since November 5-9, 2012).
