“Poker After Dark,” NBC's popular late night show, invites viewers into the exclusive Las Vegas poker scene. The nightly hour-long show, hosted by Leeann Tweeden, one of sports and entertainment’s most recognizable faces, usually features six poker professionals vying for a winner-take-all $120,000 first place prize. This season, there are two big twists – for two weeks, “Poker After Dark” will host a high stakes cash game where literally hundreds of thousands of dollars can exchange hands on the turn of a card. And, for one week in July, “Poker After Dark” will feature a “Heads-Up Challenge” where the four previous champions of NBC’s “National Heads-Up Poker Championship” compete for $200,000 in a double-elimination, heads-up tournament.
Hosted by former model and one-time co-host of FSN’s “The Best Damn Sports Show Period,” Leeann Tweeden, “Poker After Dark” features an intimate look at one table as it develops, culminating with a winner on Friday night. Saturday night’s show - the “director’s cut” - will recap the week’s events with Tweeden and that week’s winner, offering commentary and insight into the player’s winning strategy.
Set in the back room of a casino on the Vegas strip, “Poker After Dark” gives viewers a unique look at a poker game usually reserved for the eyes of the professional poker players themselves. “Poker After Dark” features the world’s top pros - all miked during the weekly battles for the $120,000 first place prize.
"Poker After Dark" is a presentation from Poker Productions and Echo Entertainment.
