REPORTER SAM BROCK TO JOIN NBC BAY AREA |

SAN JOSE, Calif. – September 5, 2012 – NBC Bay Area announced today that Sam Brock will be joining the station as Reporter effective September 10, 2012. Brock will take the lead on NBC Bay Area’s Reality Check Franchise, focusing on analyzing politics, public policy and community issues for accuracy and honesty.
Brock comes to NBC Bay Area from WTVR in Richmond, Virginia where he spent five years as Reporter and Anchor covering politics, business and consumer affairs.
“We’re excited to have Sam join our team and bring a unique franchise to the Bay Area,” said Jonathan Mitchell, Vice President of News. “We strive to bring our viewers a smart, sophisticated news product and Sam is the kind of journalist that will fit in perfectly with our brand.”
Brock has also worked at TV stations in Chicago, Illinois and Vermont. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and has a Masters from Medill School of Journalism.
